6 More Weeks!!!!

Wow, 6 more weeks before my First 1/2 Marathon the Stratton Faxxon 1/2 Marathon 2009. I can't believe it. I just hope the weather is just as nice. It's been in the mid 60's yes, the 60's perfect weather. Usually it's a tough race to do because it's hot, but maybe the hot weather will start later (crossing fingers) I'm starting to physically feel so much better (the medication my doctor gave me kicked what ever I had for 3 weeks, out of me 2 weeks ago) and I ran 6.5 miles today and feel pretty good even with a cold. I started more of a raw food diet (lettuce, tomato's & avocado with some w/ beans) and staying away from meat and resting more. I'm $550 away from my total goal on my fundraising and now as much as I would like to running the 1/2 marathon, this I know I can do. Hills will be the key in the race with hot weather MMMMMM.. how fun. So hill training it will be until the day of the race. Finding the time to do everything is the toughest part, with doctors appointments, planning fundraisers,my boys, and work, they are keeping me very busy.

I know my body will be strong for my 1/2, I'm totally looking forward to it especially running with Team in Training. I may be slow, but I'll know I'll finish. This race will be for so many people... In memory of My cousin Louie, Uncle Bobby, & Aunt Marie and In Honor of Luther, Roger, and Kevin.

Happy running, I'll be updating again soon.

Tammy! It is an odd feeling, isn't it? But you know, when you cross the finish line (or even if you don't) it makes it all worth while. And remember that you will have a lot of friends running along with you and cheering you on! I will be one of them!

I do have stability shoes. They are brroks! I bought a pair of Brook Trail shoes before my birthday (last month) and I got a pair of Brook street shoes for my birthday. I've also heard that SUPERFEET green inserts are a wonderful tool to use with Plantar Fasciitis. I'm hoping to find a pair of them this weekend in the Denver area. Thanks for the helpful hints!

Remember! Train, but have fun while you are doing it!
