MY BIG 5K the Stratton-Faxon Fairfield Road Race

Well I did it my first race, yippeee. I was excited but very nervous and didn't sleep well at all last night yuk. I was one of the stragglers but at least I was able to complete a goal. My time was 38:13 sec, I hopefully beable to post the results w/my some pics of my number and shirt this week. Well I'm slow but getting there but out of all my work outs, this was a good time for me. I tried pacing myself but everyone ran past me hee hee. Than at the end, me and another couple were running real hard to finish, the girl, had to stop, she couldn't push herself near the end. It made me feel great although it was tough I felt great to beable to push myself at the end. I hope next year I can do the 1/2 marathon. They had over 3200 people at this race. I'm more of a long distances pace runner than a speed runner, but hopefully I can get some interval training in to help me on my time. I'll keep everyone updated on my next race.
